Yesterday was a first for me, Yoga Fest. I'm new to Yoga and didn't know what to expect. Would I fit in? Could I do all the moves? Will the vibe be too Kumbaya for me? ( I am still working on my inner Zen and trying to get rid of my RBF) A girlfriend and myself attended Yoga Fest in Lake Charles, La. It was an exceptionally beautiful day with nothing but the type of vibe that you want on a day dedicated to Yoga, breathwork, and other modalities that give your life a balance. Although we only did the one class, Buti Yoga, the time we did spend there was enough restorative energy to last me for days. Everyone was all smiles and peace. Even as we laughed and fell as we could not get the coordination to do some of the moves, we loved every minute of it. It was muddy, we were a little out of our element and in some cases downward dog twerking. Who knew, we could move like that. LOL No judgments, nothing but encouragement and pure love and happiness is truly what we experienced.
We all hear the term LIFE IS TOO SHORT all the time! But few of us take it to heart or act on what the true meaning of it would mean for YOUR life. Take the chance, make the move, go to the festival, TRY SOMETHING NEW! Yesterday and the attendees of that festival reminded me that all it takes to become a part of a new community or new activity is your motivation and open mind.
Live you life...with open hearts and open minds.
